Note

Do not run a managed JBoss server on the same machine as the HQ Server. This is an unsupported configuration.

Troubleshooting

jboss.installpath - Usually the HQ Agent can determine it, but sometimes it is necessary to specify the jboss.installpath in your agent.properties file. If you experience the following error while trying to configure a JBoss server in HQ, the fix is to specify the jboss.installpath in the agent.properties file and restart the HQ Agent.

Invalid configuration: Plugin error: Plugin class not found: javax/management/MBeanException (invalid 
classpath or corrupt plugin jar)

Edit the agent.properties file located in the HQ Agent installation directory and add jboss.installpath

jboss.installpath=/usr/local/jboss-4.0.4
