Network Services
Network Services are a collection of protocol level checks that can be added to any platform in the HQ inventory as a platform service. These checks generally include availability and response time, but some include other metrics that are specific to the protocol itself. See the resource listing below for details.
Creating a Network Service
To create a Network Service, first navigate to the platform in HQ from which the check should be performed. Next, click on the "New Platform Service" link. From there you will be able to select the protocol check and give the resource a name of your choosing. Click OK to create the service.
On the resulting page there will be a link to configure the resource. Once the resource has been configured, it will begin collecting metrics.
